Realise Realise
Was chatting with OCTOPUS CHIN last night and he made me REALISE something just by a simple why question.
I realised that I've been living life with the almost heck-care attitude the last few weeks/months/ don't know since when.. =x
Gotta start getting back to reality already.. What am I doing? Or what am I not doing? Sigh.
Anyways, gonna have an early night and wake up early tomorrow to go through my tutorials.. Paper this thurs.. I'm so fucked man. T_T Wanted to blog bout lots of stuff but realised I shouldn't delay my sleeping time so.. Nitez!
5 hours sleep @@
6am, just slightly more than 6 hours ago..
Thinking bout the people who made a difference in my life. All the good times, all the bad times. Wondering what life would be like without these people. To those who've made an impact on my life: THANK YOU! Be it positive or negative, I'm still thankful that everything's that happened has happened, because life would have been so much different without you.
Ended having up this missing-you-feeling before i slept.. Missing all those people I know who've kinda drifted away.. Wishing this world was a smaller place, so we'd all still be as close.
Waking up to reality, I sometimes wish we are all living a dream. A dream whereby we are like characters in a game. Make a bad move, die, respawn. But then again there wouldn't be any value to life because everyone will just die and live again. So, is life better in reality? Is it any better that we only have ONE chance to live? ONE chance to screw up big time, ONE shot at it all?
Or should we not take the risk, just living life 'simple, good'? Not getting into trouble, following the books all the way? Being the one who gives in most of the time, offering opinions instead of making decisions, staying on the safe 'you-can't-blame-me-for-this' side rather than taking the risk to do something new/different, and either make it good or deal with the consequences?
Each risk should be calculated carefully before the decision of whether to take it or not is made. But sometimes time isn't on our side and we have to make fast snap-snap decisions. These decisions are usually the most important ones in life.......
Browsing through facebook just a couple of minutes ago before typing out this post, I saw something that got me thinking again... My gsx-r... ... ... How could I even give up the thought of it?! Of course it isn't the best, most perfect bike around, but that's where the fun comes in isn't it? Using skills to beat someone with a faster bike, with apparently better handling but somehow seems to go into corners slower because of super-early braking and then exit slower too because of late throttling? (:
Oh wells, better start concentrating on my studies already. Gotta stop slacking. And today is the last day of WoW.. =(
7/7/09!
THE DAY I BECAME AN UNCLE
UNCLE
UNCLE

UNCLE LEON!!!! =0 -> =D
Haha. Went down immediately after school to visit SIL before her op. She was still so calmly watching tv! Damn brave lor. If it was me I would most prob be praying my @$$ off. Praying that I don't die so young, that the doctor is not a major screwup in life and that he doesn't cut the wrong area. Like *slash* "whoops!" @@
So managed to whip out my iphone and snap some pics here and there. Not very clear quality cos its an iphone camera. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? Anyways, here are the pics ^^
Was trying to take pics while the nurse was bombarding her with questions :D

Finally managed to get a shot while she was being pushed from the ward to the lift (:

In the lift.. Whipped out my iphone slightly too slow, so i missed the face she was making =/

This was the "husband's dinner". Western order, they gave a cold hard steak. Only for husbands. =( So i had to go to lucky plaza to grab some crap food for dinner =(

The "menu" for husbands only.

SIL was back by the time I got my dinner back to the ward. She looked so dazed and stoned and guess she was feeling giddy as well. All the horrid effects of knocking you out cold(GA). But... BUT.... I still managed to get her to pose for the camera! :D :D :D YAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Then tried to take some pics with my iphone once again through the glass into the nursery where the beautiful little gift from God was laying there, crying and all ready to explore this frightful world that we live in.

Once again, GratZ LINCOLN & SABRINA! You are PAPA and MAMA now!! :D How exciting right! Oh did i mention.. Bro was so darn excited he was jumping round and round the hospital and screaming in the lift. HAHAHAHAHA!! YEahh he was so excited he was gonna be a father. xD Well, who ISN'T excited eh? Even I myself am so damn excited, up till now that I'm blogging about 2am and still smiling at the thought that I now have a niece! New addition to the family, a baby born into this world, who have experenced quite a significant amount of G force in the last 9 months. :P
Alrights I should catch some sleep now or I'll drop dead pretty soon =x
Nitez world!
Gave in before Wednesday ended..
Yeah was suppose to prove that I wouldn't want/have another till Wednesday. Woke up to a cold cold tuesday morning with super lack of sleep and taaadaaaaa that was the result of it all.
This girl who had bangs was so much worse than me tho.

Back to BSTATS lecture~
OOOOOOOOH I'm gonna be an UNCLE! Like so exciting yet so....... blehz, cos I'm gonna be one GENERATION older. No more 'youngest generation' already.. Praying for SIL and Bro, hope everything goes smoothly (:
Dedicated to those who want to quit smoking for a healthier life.
Happen to find this link while web browsing (an excuse for not doing homework?). Hope those smokers out there who wanna quit find this useful to them (:
Physical withdrawal from nicotine is temporary, but it can be uncomfortable while it lasts. "Quitter's flu" is a term used to describe this phase of smoking cessation because nicotine withdrawal symptoms often mimic a cold or a mild case of the flu. Understanding what to expect when you quit smoking and following the tips provided here for coping will help you move through this stage more easily.
The following list contains commonly reported symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. Most people experience some of these, but rarely all of them. Each person goes through this phase of recovery from nicotine addiction a little differently. But for most people, these discomforts are short-lived. Check with your doctor if you're concerned about a physical reaction you're having to smoking cessation, or if nicotine withdrawal symptoms persist.
Nicotine Withdrawal Symptoms
Cravings to smoke
Irritable, cranky
Insomnia
Fatigue
Inability to Concentrate
Headache
Cough
Sore throat
Constipation, gas, stomach pain
Dry mouth
Sore tongue and/or gums
Postnasal drip
Tightness in the chest
Coping Skills for Nicotine Withdrawal
The Five D's
Delay until the urge passes - usually within 3 to 5 minutes.
Distract yourself. Call a friend or go for a walk.
Drink water to fight off cravings.
Deep Breaths - Relax! Close your eyes and take 10 slow, deep breaths.
Discuss your feelings with someone close to you or at the support forum here at About.com Smoking Cessation.
Other Ways to Manage Nicotine Withdrawal Include:
Exercise. If you're unaccustomed to exercising, start slowly. Take a 15-minute walk once or twice a day, and work up from there. Choose activities that appeal to you, so you'll do them consistently. Exercise reduces cravings to smoke while helping you feel better in general.
Top 10 Reasons to Start Walking
Get More Rest. As smokers, our bodies were used to taking in not only nicotine, but all of the literally thousands of other chemicals in cigarette smoke. The stress of abruptly cutting off that supply, as unhealthy as it was, can leave us feeling tired and wilted. If you're fatigued and can manage it during the day, take a nap. And go to bed a little earlier than usual if you need to. It will do you good.
Chemicals in Cigarettes
On the other hand, if you're at the opposite end of the spectrum and find yourself unable to sleep (which is common also), try taking a long walk several hours before bed.
Managing Insomnia When You Quit Smoking
Take a Multivitamin. Consider adding a good multivitamin to your daily regimen for the first few months after quitting tobacco. It will help offset nicotine withdrawal symptoms and replenish depleted nutrients.
When Vitamin Supplements are Beneficial
Relaxation and Rewards. Take time alone to read a good book. Indulge in a hot bath at the end of the day. Whatever pampers and relaxes you is a great choice. Don't think of it as a luxury; think of it as a protective measure for your quit program.
Cessation is hard work early on, and when we take the time to recharge our batteries and replenish our spirits, we put ourselves in the best possible position for continued success. Do this step religiously every single night, and you'll find that you are better equipped to start the next day off on the right foot.
Don't let nicotine withdrawal scare you!
Remember - nicotine withdrawal is a temporary phase of recovery. It doesn't last long and better days....much better days lie ahead. The fantastic feeling of freedom and control you'll get when you successfully beat this addiction is worth every bit of effort you give to quitting, and then some.
You are worth it.
